SPECAT Golf Tournament

The SPECAT (Sigma Phi Epsilon Colorado Area Tournament) Golf Tournament is an annual event for all Colorado area SigEps to meet and enjoy a round of golf each fall. SigEp Alums from Colorado Gamma (Colorado State), Colorado Delta (Mines), Colorado Alpha (CU), and Colorado Epsilon (UNC) meet to play a round of golf and exaggerate stories of their SigEp undergraduate years.

The tournament has been held on the Friday of Labor Day weekend in recent years, at a rotating Denver area golf course.

History

The SPECAT tournament began in 1992 and has been a time-honored tradition each year since. Milton Kravites '85 and Jim Benemann '78 coordinated the first annual SPECAT Golf Tournament and they knew it would become a great annual event for SigEps to get together. On June 1st, 1992, a great SigEp tradition was born as the first SPECAT Golf tournament was held at Glenmoor Country Club.
