Who Is the Brooks In Brooks Tower
Jessica recently submitted the following question:
Can you tell me who the Brooks in Brooks Tower is? I'm going through some Denver-in-the-50s-60s memorabilia belonging to my folks. Did Al Brookes with Brookes Engineering have anything to do with the building? Thanks much.
Does anyone know the details around the naming of Brooks Tower?

The cover of that newsletter had a reprint of a June 12th, 1966 Rocky Mountain News article about the construction of the building.
In the 1966 article, it states that The building will be known as "Brooks Towers" in honor of Elwood M. Brooks, former board chairman of Central Bank & Trust Co. and one of the originators of the plan for the Park City project.
Park City Corp. appears to be the legal entity formed for the construction of Brooks Tower and was closely related to Central Bank & Trust Co.
I'll see if I can find a link to the full article online in the Rocky Mountain News digital archives. Not sure if they will have content from 1966 online, but I'll check.
