Noisey Undergrads

:ad200 Hi,

I'm thinking about buying in your building and was curious about noise levels. I noticed the building is close to CU Denver, etc. - after several years in Boulder, I'm tired of dealing with noisy undergrads. Is this an issue in your building? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Good question. I'm just closing on a unit this month. I might not be the best to get advice from, but I don't think it is that noisy in there. It's mostly older people (some on social security) and professionals. However, you never know.

Price doesn't always indicate a quiet place though. My realtor owns a condo in the Glass House and told me of a huge party that another owner had on the pooldeck and they trashed the place. So it can happen anywhere.

My impression is that it seems pretty quiet and the HOA watches over the building very closely. That's one of the reasons why I'm buying.

The building is relatively quiet and as the previous poster said, the building management stays on top of complaints very well. If someone is bothering you on a consistent basis, they'll take it up with them. It is nothing like living by CU ... the undergrads in the building next door have their entrance on the other side (14th Street) and aren't a problem. Once in a while on weekends, at about 2 a.m. when the bars close, you might hear some yelling and screaming for a little while, but for the most part it is great. Same goes for sirens -- you kind of get used to them and after a while they don't bother you anymore.
