Wok Uptown
Wok Uptown, a popular chinese take-out restaurant, sits at the corner of Ogden and Park Avenue in Uptown Denver. While the Mountain West region is not known for it Chinese food, Wok Uptown provides pretty good food and has a central location to Downtown (Central Business District), LoDo (Union Station), North Capitol Hill, Five Points, and City Park West. The Wok Uptown dining room has a modern chinese decor and is a popular lunch spot for many Downtown/Uptown employees.
On more than one occasion, I have heard complaints about the service at Wok Uptown and I have experienced this for myself a few times. I would liken it to Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi" in saying that I felt like I was ordering incorrectly on a couple occasions at Wok Uptown. This is highly dependent on who is working when you visit, but if you are particular about friendly service, it is something to take note of.
Though the sign in front of Wok Uptown says free delivery, a delivery charge of $2.00 is common dependent on the delivery location.1789 Ogden St

their Sesame Chicken and Mongolian Beef.
with service as of yet. I would agree about "Free Delivery" being on the sign
yet paying a delivery fee. Anyway, the place is worth checking out.
pay the 2.00 delivery fee because I live outside their free zone..and I don't
mind at all. It's worth paying the extra money for great food and fast
delivery. I understand that the drivers have to come all the way downtown,
find a parking space, walk up to my building and wait for us. We greatly
appreciate that the fact they do deliver! Anyways, they do have the best
sesame chicken in town.
drivers coming "all the way downtown" ... the place is about 5 blocks from
downtown.
Great prompt service and friendly staff. I have dined in but it's limited
seating. I always get the Singapore Street Noodles and Crab Cheese Wontons.
Now that they offer Thai Curries, I am excited to try their Fire Red Panang
Curry. Yummy!
Oh, I do live downtown and it's actually more than 15 blocks from us. I went
to pick up my order one day and it took a good 20 minutes round trip with
traffic and one way streets. Throw in gas and the hazard of zipping through
the streets. Parking downtown can be chaotic and scarce so I really
appreciate my delivery driver and tip him 25% everytime. I wish more
restaurants would deliver!
customer for the past 5 years and never had a problem with my order. They
really know what they are doing because I am seriously addicted to their
Drunken Chicken Noodles and Sacha Shrimp over brown rice. My kids love their
Crab Cheese Wontons and Chicken Lo Mein. It's a weekly must have in our
household.
They have limited seating in their dining room so I get delivery or take-out
often. I would say they have some of the best Chinese food in Denver.
