La Piazza dell Arte

La Piazza dell' Arte is a great weekend outing to enjoy the historic setting of Larimer Square and take in the work of burgeoning artists of our day.

In addition to the great works of sidewalk art, the event is a showcase of authentic Italian foods, including Italian pizza and gelato. One of the newer additions to Larimer Square, the Capitol Grill, offered a wine dinner on the weekend of the 2008 La Piazza event.

The 2007 La Piazza dell'Arte street painting festival in Larimer Square took place on June 23rd and 24th, 2007. As the event has continued to gain popularity, it has expanded in 2007 to cover 2 full blocks of artistry on 14th Street in addition to the original Larimer Square block of Larimer Street in Downtown Denver.









The 7th annual La Piazza dell' Arte weekend is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th, 2009. Artists applications can be downloaded at the Larimer Arts Association website (LarimerArts.org). Residents and businesses have a great opportunity to support the event and local artists by sponsoring a square for an artist in the event.
