Denver Center for Performing Arts
The Denver Center for Performing Arts is the premier arts complex in the mountain west region. The complex includes the Buell Theater and the historic Ellie Caulkins Opera House.
Ellie Caulkins Opera House
The Ellie Caulkins Opera House was opened after an extensive renovation of the Municipal Auditorium. The Municipal Auditorium was opened in 1908 for Denver's first Democratic National Convention (the second occurring exactly 100 years later in 2008). At the 1908 convention, William Jennings Bryan accepted his third nomination for President in the Municipal Auditorium.
