Auraria Campus
Auraria Campus in Denver is home to the University of Colorado at Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, and the Community College of Denver. Auraria was originally an early township that was merged with Denver after years of battling for supremecy in the 1860s. Until 1972, Auraria was a residential neighborhood when it was annexed by the City for construction of the Auraria Campus. 7th Street in Auraria, which includes 1 block of historic homes now used as offices, remains as the only evidence of this once thriving residential community.
RTD Lightrail
Auraria Campus' easy access to Denver's growing Lightrail makes it convenient for students located in South Denver to get to campus. With the expansion of the lightrail (FastTrax), lightrail will become a convenient transportion choice for many Auraria students throughout the Denver Metro area.
South Classroom
The South Classroom of Auraria Campus is used by the University of Colorado at Denver.
St. Cajetans Cathedral
St. Cajetans is one of the historic structures remaining at the center of the Auraria Campus. Saint Cajetan was a Catholic Saint and founder of the Theatines. Saint Cajetan studied law in Padua, receiving his doctoral degree at the age of 24.The Tivoli
The Tivoli is home to the Tivoli Student Union, Auraria Campus Bookstore, Starz Film Center, and many other campus services. The historic Tivoli structure is shared by all institutions on the Auraria Campus and is usually a very active place where Auraria students spend time between classes and take care of other errands.
