Bell Tower Proposal
The new focus on Downtown Denver development and high rises is very exciting but its really starting to become concerning whether or not the city can support this much downtown residential development or if it will depress the downtown real estate market due to overcapacity.

a problem with the original one.
The lot choice is interesting. It hard to imagine Spear Blvd looking like
broadway on one side with towering highrises and a college campus with lots of
green space on the other side. Nonetheless, Spear could be a real asset for
the city and needs attention.
looks like this development will interfere with the unobstructed mountain view
that Brooks has enjoyed for many years - at least for some residents on lower
floors.

for Bell Tower and the developer is going with an alternate plan for 2 shorter
10-story, less imaginative buildings. This decision is robbing downtown
residents of green/park space that the developer would have created on the lot
in lieu of the larger footprint of 2 shorter buildings. What a shame - it
doesn't seem the planning board has the best interests of Denver residents in
mind, regardless of their subjective personal opinions on the beauty of the
original single tower design.
