Property records for Brooks Tower, that include legal information and current owner, can be found at the City of Denver : Real Property website.

To find Brooks Tower records:

1. Select Search by Address and Click Submit
2. Enter 1020 for the High and Low
3. Leave Direction unselected
4. Enter 15TH for Street
5. Select St for Street Type
6. Click Submit

You will find a property record for each unit and each parking space. The parking space records are indicated by PKXXX (where XXX is the parking space number)

It is nice that the City of Denver makes this information so easily accessible, that’s not the case in many other cities. One of the benefits not mentioned is that you can find the last price paid for a unit you are looking at in Brooks Tower in many cases.

Yes – These records are public. Someone commented the benefit of seeing the last price paid for a unit. That might be a benefit to a buyer but how does this information benefit the owner/seller?

Curious- the commenter didn’t state specifically who the availability of sale prices was beneficial for.

Obviously, buyers enjoy having this information easily available. It might be argued that owners/sellers do not like it so easily available, but it is public record- so there isn’t much of an argument except against the City and County of Denver’s system that makes it much easier to find than many other cities.

However, there might be some benefit for owners having easy access to the prices paid by other owners for similar units. Brooks Tower is a place that is very easy to do comps on without the expertise of a Realtor, though there is variance in how much renovation and improvements have taken place in any given unit. Anyway, good discussion..
