QuickBooks Online FireFox Compatible!

Quickbooks Online made some significant upgrades last weekend which were great to see. I am a long time user and supporter of Quickbooks Online. I started using the desktop version of Quickbooks in 2003 and I switched to the Online version shortly after it became available.

I found Quickbooks relatively easy to use dating back to the desktop package, but it required a lot of manual work. I had to enter all of the bank transactions manually and I was working with an organization that had financial players in different states (Colorado and New York).

When Quickbooks Online edition became available, it was a big efficiency for our organization. Our bookkeeper in Colorado could enter data, and at the same time the Controller in New York could see the transactions. They also added the ability to download transactions from major banks. We have been with Wells Fargo for six years and it was a significant improvement to be able to download transactions instead of entering them manually.

More importantly to me, Intuit (the company that delivers Quickbooks) finally released a FireFox compatible version of Quickboosk last weekend. I am a die-hard FireFox user and I was thrilled to see this improvement released.

I have recommended Quickbooks Online to other business simply for the remote collaboration abilities, but its great to see them working on other improvements that users’ value.
